According to an official release from Tribikram Mishra, divisional commercial manager for Waltair division of ECoR on Friday, the train 08501 will leave Visakhapatnam on Thursdays from December 19 to 26 while its pair 08502 will leave Gandhi Dham on Sundays from December 22 to 29.
The pair of trains enroute Duvvada, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Khammam, Warangal Junction, Ramagundam, Sirpur Kagaz Nagar, Balharshah Junction, Wardha Junction, Badnera Junction, Akola Junction, Malkapur, Bhusaval Junction, Jalgaon Junction, Nandurbar, Suraj Junction, Ankleshwar, Vadodara Junction, Anand Junction, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Dharangdhara, Samakhilai, Bhachau and Gandhidham.
The train 08501 is scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam railway station at 5.35 pm on every Thursday and reaches Gandhi Dham at 9.50 am on Saturday.
In return direction, the train 08502 is scheduled to depart Gandhi Dham on every Sunday at 10.45 pm and reaches Visakhapatnam on 2.35 pm on Tuesday.
The train comprises two AC three tier coaches, one AC two tier coach, seven sleeper class coaches, six second class general compartments besides two second class sitting-cum-luggage compartments in the composition.
Similarly, the ECoR has also announced another weekly special express train from Visakhapatnam to Bagat Ki Kothi in Jodhpur. The train number 08573 will leave Visakhapatnam on Thursdays at 5.35 am from December 19 to December 26 and its pair 08574 will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi on Saturdays at 2.15 pm from December 21 to 28.
The train will have halts at Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh Junction, Kantabanji, Khariar Road, Mahasamund, Raipur, Bhatapara, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Anuppur Junction, Shahdol, Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagour, Malkhedi, Guna, Chhabra Gogur, Baran, Kota, Sawaimadhopur, Banasthaliniwai, Jaipur, Phulera, Makrana, Degana, Merta Road, Jodhpur and Bhagat Ki Kothi.
