Mamata took away the industries and commerce department from Partha Chatterjee and handed it to finance minister Amit Mitra.
After the reshuffle, Partha Chatterjee has been left with departments like IT, parliamentary affairs, PSU and industrial reconstruction.
The chief minister dropped Hiten Barman, who was the forest minister, and appointed Binay Barman in his place. Barman was sworn in on Thursday.
The PWD department has been taken away from Sudarshan Ghosh Dastidar, who is sick, and has been handed to Shankar Chakraborty, who was earlier the co-operation minister.
Ghosh Dastidar who is now in the US for treatment will only have environment department and till he returns, Upen Biswas, minister for backward class department, will hold additional charge.
The new co-operation minister is Rachpal Singh, while Nure Alam Choudhury is the new planning and development minister.
Sabitri Mitra will now only be the social welfare minister, while Sashi Panja, who was sworn in on Thursday as minister of state (independent charge) will be minister for women and child.
Syamapada Mukherjee will be the new textile minister.
Swapan Debnath takes over as the new minister of state (independent charge) of animal resource and micro and small savings.
Becharam Manna, who is the minister of state of agriculture and agri-marketing departments, also gets the land department.
