"Delhi lieutenant governor has already announced an inquiry into the matter raised by Aam Aadmi party leaders against Delhi police," he told reporters.
"Delhi has a distinct character where lieutenant governor and chief minister looks into the things," he said.
But, still since Kejriwal met him, he said "I am looking into the issue."
The Union home minister refused to reply to allegations of corruption and shielding a businessman having links with Dawood Ibrahim levelled against him by former home secretary R K Singh, who recently joined BJP.
"Wo ab BJP ke neta hain, mein political bhasan nahin karna chahta hu (Now he is a BJP leader hence I do not want to make a political comment)," he said.
Shinde said a note has already been issued by Delhi commissioner of police and he has nothing to say.
To a question on Adarsh housing society, Shinde shot back, "What Adarsh?". He said there was no reservation for Kargil war heroes in that society.
The Union home minister was here in connection with launch of a Hindi daily "Dainik Bhaskar". Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and RJD President Lalu Prasad shared the dais with him.
