RSS moved court against Rahul Gandhi

BHIWANDI: The RSS filed criminal application against the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Bhiwandi court over his recent remarks against RSS linking their role in to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Recently on March 6, addressing party rally at Sonale sports ground in Bhiwandi, Rahul Gandhi had said that RSS shot Mahatma Gandhi and now they are using his name to campaign for elections.

Following to the Rahul Gandhi remarks over RSS, the BJP had demanded action against Rahul Gandhi blaming that for vote he is unnecessarily making false allegation against RSS and had also moved the Election Commission against Rahul Gandhi.

Now the RSS's Bhiwandi unit wing secretary Rajesh Kunte on Wednesday filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi.

Talking to TOI, Kunte said, "The remarks made by Rahul Gandhi against our organization were defamatory and we sought action against the Rahul Gandhi under section 499 and 500 of Indian Penal Code".

Kunte further said, "Rahul Gandhi's allegation, that RSS men killed Mahatma Gandhi, was against the court verdict in the case in which no where RSS is linked. We want that action should be taken against Rahul Gandhi who looking at Lok Sabha election is deliberately for vote bank making false allegation".

The court is likely to hear the matter on March 27.
