Procession of dalits which started from Ballal circle on Monday morning passed through various roads before reaching the DC office to submit a memorandum to the DC on the issue. While the procession was passing through busy Ramaswamy circle , the marchers eyes fell on the hoarding depicting the Yoga guru's picture. Some miscreants pulled down the hoarding besides setting on fire Ramadev's picture . They also destroyed the name plate in front of the yoga centre run by Ramadev's trust located near Jaganmohan palace .
Dalits shouted slogans against yoga guru and leaders who spoke on the occasion alleged that Ramdev has hurt the sentiments of dalits by saying that Rahul Gandhi visits dalits houses for honeymoon. They demanded the arrest of Ramdev who according to them is in the habit of making derogatory remarks against people and inciting communal passions in them.
Meanwhile the Congress workers also staged dharna in front of Gandhi statue at Gandhi square against Yoga Guru. Even the members of various OBC organizations staged dharna at DC office protesting Ramdev's remarks, sending a woman out while having community lunch at a mutt in Udupi for she not being a Brahmin and killing of an innocent at Sringeri by ANF commando.
