Kali Krishna M, general manager (corporate communications) of IOC, said supply of loads had been affected as National Highway-1A was flooded. "We have made arrangements to transport LPG cylinders in small vehicles through alternative routes till NH-1A reopened for heavy vehicular traffic," he said.
More than 50 loads of petrol and diesel and over 30 loads of LPG cylinders have been dispatched to Kashmir division through alternative routes via Leh, Chandigarh, Jalandhar and Bahadurgarh in the last three days.
IOC has facilitated its aviation fuelling service in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh and Chandigarh airports and in Indian Air Force's Awantipur base to cater to the additional refueling requirements of the armed forces and the state administration to carry out rescue operations.
"Two tank-trucks with petrol and diesel loads each have been airlifted by the IAF from Ambala for relief operations in Srinagar. Priority supplies of diesel are being arranged for telecom operators to help them restore mobile communication services," he said.
Krishna said IOC had adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG.
