AMRITSAR: American Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (AGPC) has hailed the decision of Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission for taking note of the 1984 anti-Sikhs massacre in India. AGPC President JS Hothi and Coordinator Dr Pritpal Singh, in a joint statement issued here on Wednesday said "it is praiseworthy and Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission organized the special screening of The Widow Colony, an award winning documentary that amplifies the voices of Sikh widows who lost their loved ones during the 84' riots". After the screening of the film the panellists discussed the Indian government's failures to prosecute the perpetrators of the violence against Sikhs and how the justice had been eluding the Sikh community, said the statement.
