Terror suspect ran short of fund to execute his plan

MUMBAI: Investigations into the arrest of a software engineer, suspected of planning to bomb American school in Mumbai, found that he ran short of fund and could not execute his operation. Anis Ansari, 24, was charge sheeted on January 14 for allegedly conspiring to kill people at American school. The police learnt about his alleged plan through his facebook account.

Ansari, a resident of Nehru Nagar in Kurla (East), was arrested in Ocotber last year. The ATS filed a 728-page charge sheet against him and a wanted accused, Omer Elhaj, suspected to be in the USA. The charge sheet contains Ansari's conversations (FB account with a fake identity of Usaryim Logan) with Elhaj. At one place, Ansari said he ran short of funds to carry out attack on the American school. On another page, chatting with his FB friends, he suggested them to use 'flam thrower' which he said are used by Taliban to torch NATO's containers every week. He had also uploaded a picture of flame thrower on his page.

Ansari, in his FB account, mentioned his hometown as Baghdad, Iraq. Amongst his 284 FB friends some were Kacchi Biryani, Himmat Bhai, Free Kashmir, Ahmed MuhusinISISI etc. According to his family, Ansari always refused to marry, he had three girls as his friends on FB.
