Quoting senior Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the Bihar CM claimed that after the recent meet of the Niti Ayog held in Delhi, Gadkari told him that 'Apne Pradhan Mantri ji Ka Man Moh Liya hai (you have won over the PM's heart). Literally translated it meant that for PM Modi, the beleaguered Bihar CM had become Man Mohan, the name sake of PM's predecessor.

Giving details of his heart winning feat, the Bihar CM claimed that the PM was very much impressed by his social diagnosis of the issues related to sanitation and Public health. This he could do on account of his domain knowledge of poverty and allied ailments, claimed the Bihar CM.
Wearing uncharacteristic seriousness on his face for the better part of the hour long programme, the CM, while making response to the Magadh VC Prof Md Ishtiaq's demand for the establishment of a Nursing College in the MU premises, the CM said that he was being ridiculed for his promises and assurances as people mockingly called these decisions as parting gifts. Unfazed by the parting gift barb, the CM announced that the proposal for the establishment of the Nursing college in MU premises will be approved at the next cabinet meet.
Skipping the controversial issues, the Manjhi trade mark, the CM said that the university was not the right place to talk politics and he would mostly devote to issues of academic interest. Thanking MU VC Prof Md Ishtiaq for making university land available for the establishment of IIM in Gaya the CM requested the VC to spare another 25 acres of university land as former Governor DY Patil wanted to establish a dental college and hospital in Gaya. Patil would not mind paying the land price to the university, said the CM. The CM also regretted that on account of abject poverty, he could not pursue his Post Graduate Education and fulfilled his PG dream through his son.
"Trust vote left to Allah"
On the other hand, the minority welfare minister and the Muslim face of the Manjhi camp in Bihar, Shahid Ali Khan said that he has left it to Allah to decide the trust vote fate on February 20. Speaking at an official function organised by the Magadh University to lay the foundation stone for the construction of two hostels (one for boys and other for girls belonging to the minority communities ) at an estimated cost of Rs 8.22 crores.
His response was that honour and humiliation (read victory and defeat) were matters of Allah's domain and human beings can do little in the matter. Khan recited a Quranic verse to support his divine power contention.
Making an ambivalent response to Minority Affairs Minister Shahd Ali Khan's demand for extending job reservation to the minorities, the CM said that the 50 pc cap on job reservations came in the way of reservation for minorities. Kerala was the only state to break the reservation cap as the Southern state has put 69 pc jobs in the reservation basket. He would be directing the officials to study the Kerala model and if the same can be replicated in Bihar he would be happy to do it, said Manjhi.
