RAIPUR: Union coal minister Shriprakash Jaiswal on Monday said, "An inter-ministerial committee has been constituted to search the missing documents of the alleged coal scam. Almost 95% of documents have been traced, while search for remaining was underway. If found, they will be handed over to CBI by September 10 positively and an FIR would be registered for the untraceable ones."

He said that the coal allocation has been under investigation for the past 20 years.

Attacking the Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government for its alleged inaction on Centre's warnings of possible outbreak of communal clashes, Jaiswal said, "Had the UP government considered it, the incident could have been averted."

The minister was in Raipur to address the concluding ceremony of a three-day 30th plenary session of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC).

Slamming the Chhattisgarh government, Jaiswal blamed it for leniency in providing security to Congress convoy in Bastar, due to which many leaders were killed by the Maoists.

Jaiswal also critized the state government for its alleged corruption in mining and coal scams.
