The Government was replying to the question of chief whip of the congress party Balvantsinh Rajput. Siddhpur MLA Rajput has sought details of the MOUs signed and how many had gone in production. The State Government in the reply said that a total of 17,791 MOUS were signed in 33 sectors and of these 1491 have dropped out.
The Government in the written reply said that 10.176 MOUS have been commissioned and have also gone in for production.
The reply said that in the year 2013 maximum 1132 were in Agro and food processing. Also 12886 MOUs were signed for medium and small scale industries. Apart from the Agro and Food processing another 280 MOUs were signed for Rurban housing projects in the state.
Rajput later in a statement said that 8.42 per cent project had dropped out and hence the government claims of providing employment to the thousands of youths in the state had been affected.
He further sought to know that if 10176 project had been commissioned what was the status of the remaining 6052 projects about which the Government has failed to give a reply. He further added that according to his information, 7,543 project have dropped out, but the Government was just claiming 1491 to show the figure a very small.
