Did Ravi leave suicide note?

BANGALORE: Did D K Ravi, 35, who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in his flat in southeast Bengaluru on Monday evening, leave a suicide note?

Hours after the body was found, police commissioner MN Reddi categorically said no suicide note was found. But, it's now reliably learnt that a note was indeed found at the flat.

A police officer, who was present at the spot that evening, said, "A minister who came to the house was told about the two-page, handwritten suicide note. There was some discussion about it among top people at the spot."

The officer said the note led city police to immediately announce that it was prima facie a case of suicide.

The note reportedly landed in the hands of another police officer. "We don't know whether the suicide note finds mention in the mahajar report (list of property and other material found at the spot of an offence). Police failed to clear the area and allowed several VIPs to walk all over the place before the body was taken to St John's Hospital from where it was taken to Victoria Hospital for the postmortem," said the police officer.Another police officer said police took the hard disk of the apartment's CCTV images without leaving a copy with the apartment association or the security staff. This information couldn't be independently verified with the apartment association.
